These terms apply when you buy a UNIQNI outdoor escape game or gift voucher on uniqni.cz and when you play our games in the game app at play.uniqni.cz. We have tried to write them so they can actually be read.
1. Who sells the game
UNIQNI games are sold and run by:
- Petr Preclík
- Company ID (IČO): 30127122
- Registered address: Barona Trencka 583, Horní Předměstí, 541 01 Trutnov, Czech Republic
- Sole trader registered in the Czech Trade Licensing Register
- Email: info@uniqni.cz
In these terms, “we” means us and “you” means you, the buyer. The game is a leisure service, not a package holiday.
2. What you are buying
You are buying access to one outdoor escape game for your whole team. You play on foot in the streets of a real town, on your phones: the game runs in the phone’s browser, there is nothing to install and we do not track your location.
- One purchase gives one access for the whole team. 1–4 phones can join the game; several people can solve on one phone.
- The price includes the story, up to 4 roles, each with its own gear, hints and 12 months’ validity.
- The route length, approximate time, difficulty, recommended age, starting point and languages are shown with each game.
- To play, you need your own smartphone with mobile data and an up-to-date browser. The phone and the data are not part of the service.
3. How buying works
- Choose “Buy” on the game page. You do not need an account.
- You go to Stripe’s checkout page, enter the email address we should send your access to, and pay. Billing details (company name, company ID) are optional – fill them in only if you need them on the receipt.
- Before you submit the payment, you can check and correct all the details. By submitting the payment you confirm the order.
- The contract between us is made once the payment goes through. We then email you a confirmation and your access to the game.
We do not keep the contract as a separate document. The purchase details are in the confirmation and the receipt we email you; you can save or print these terms. The contract can be concluded in Czech or in English.
4. Price and payment
- The price is shown with the game and in the summary on the checkout page before you pay. It covers the whole team, not each person.
- We are not VAT registered, so the price is final. There are no extra fees.
- Introductory price CZK 890 per team. From 1 January 2027 the regular price is CZK 1,290. The price that applies is the one valid when you pay.
- You can pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay on Stripe’s secure checkout page. Your card details never reach us – Stripe handles them. We do not accept bank transfers or QR code payments.
- A receipt is emailed to you automatically after every purchase, marked “Not VAT registered”.
- Promotional codes, if we offer them, come with their own conditions (value, validity, number of uses). A promotional code cannot be combined with a gift voucher.
5. Delivery of access
We email your access – a game code and a link to the game – straight after payment, usually within a few minutes. The email also contains the starting point, the validity and a link to the current list of days when you cannot play. Please check your spam folder too.
If the email does not arrive, write to us and we will send your access again. You cannot play without the code, so we deal with this first. Share the code only with the people you are playing with.
6. When and how you play
- There is no booking. You can play on any day in daylight within the validity of your access, except closed days (article 7).
- Access is valid for 12 months from purchase and ends after that.
- You can ask us to extend the validity. We look at each request individually, but there is no entitlement to an extension.
- The game begins at the starting point when you press Start. If the game has a time limit, it only runs from that moment, not from payment.
- You play in daylight: the clues are out in the streets and you cannot read them after dark. Set off early enough to finish while it is light.
- You play outdoors. If the weather does not suit you, come another day within the validity.
- The game is designed to be played in one go. We do not offer or guarantee finishing a started game on another day.
7. Closed days
- On some days the game cannot be played – for example because of markets, festivals or paid entry to the square. We publish these days with each game and on the Help page, always for the next 3 months. The access email links to this list.
- A closed day simply means “come another day”. Your game stays valid for its whole validity period.
- We add days as soon as we learn about events, so please check the list before you travel.
- Your game stays valid, but this does not give you a right to a refund.
8. Withdrawal
As a consumer buying at a distance, you have the right to withdraw from the contract. For us, this means:
- Game not started: you can withdraw within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason.
- Game started: pressing Start on site begins the provision of the service. Before the game starts, we will tell you that you lose your right to withdraw by doing so and ask for your explicit consent. Once you press Start, you can no longer withdraw.
- Gift voucher: within 14 days of purchase, as long as the voucher has not been redeemed (article 10).
How to withdraw: email info@uniqni.cz from the address you used at checkout, or use the model form in the appendix. You are within the deadline if you send your notice before it expires.
We refund you without undue delay, and no later than 14 days after your withdrawal, using the same payment method you used.
9. When something does not work (complaints)
We are responsible for the game working as we describe it. If the game breaks, will not start, or part of the route is unavailable on a day that was not listed as closed, write to info@uniqni.cz as soon as you can and tell us what happened – a screenshot helps.
- If the fault is on our side, you will always get new access or your money back.
- We confirm receipt of your complaint by email and deal with it without undue delay, within 30 days at the latest.
- The following are not faults of the service: weather, not finishing the game, closed days (article 7), or problems with your phone, its battery, browser or mobile data.
10. Gift vouchers
- We offer two kinds of voucher: for a specific game (the code is valid for that game only) and for any UNIQNI game (the recipient chooses the game when redeeming it).
- A voucher costs the same as the game. A voucher bought at the introductory price stays valid after the price goes up – the recipient pays nothing extra.
- A voucher is valid for 12 months from purchase. After that it expires and cannot be exchanged for money.
- The buyer receives the voucher by email as a PDF, with an optional personal message.
- A voucher is redeemed by entering its code in the game (the “I have a code” link). Each voucher can be redeemed once. No date is chosen – the recipient plays on any day in daylight, except closed days.
- Redeeming a voucher creates access to the game, to which these terms apply.
- You can withdraw from a voucher purchase within 14 days, as long as the voucher has not been redeemed (article 8).
11. Safety and responsibility during the game
The game takes place in public space with everyday traffic. Please:
- Watch the traffic and follow the rules of the road. Stop when you are solving – do not cross the road with your eyes on your phone.
- Do not enter private property, do not climb statues, walls or trees, and do not damage anything. No puzzle ever requires it.
- Children play under adult supervision. You are responsible for yourselves and for any children with you.
- Be considerate towards people around you, residents and businesses along the route.
- Adapt the game to the weather and to your own fitness. The route may include steps or hills – details are shown with the game.
12. The game content is our work
The story, puzzles, texts, images, hints and the roles’ gear are our own copyrighted work. You are buying the right to play the game, not its content. Please do not copy, publish or share any part of it – not even after you finish.
Please do not share the solutions, answers or walkthroughs either – on social media, in reviews or with other teams. Every published spoiler ruins the game for people who still have it ahead of them. A team photo from the route is of course fine, as long as no puzzle is in the frame.
13. Personal data
We process only the data we need to sell you the game and let you play it. We do not track your location. Details are in our privacy policy.
14. If we disagree
Please write to us first – most things are sorted out with a single email.
If we cannot agree, as a consumer you have the right to out-of-court dispute resolution. The competent body is the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (coi.cz), which also supervises compliance with consumer protection law.
15. Final provisions
- These terms take effect on.
- We may change these terms. Your purchase is always governed by the version published when you bought.
- Anything not covered by these terms is governed by Czech law, in particular the Civil Code and the Consumer Protection Act.
